Women’s Hiōgi (Akome-ōgi) – Japanese Cypress Court Fan

A traditional women’s Hiōgi, also known as an Akome-ōgi, designed to complement Heian-period court costume.

The fan is made with 39 wooden slats (39 kyō).

It features long decorative cords, artificial floral ornaments, and a pine motif, creating an elegant appearance suitable for formal Heian-style dress.
